3809434 - Bank account request stuck in approval workflow when mandatory fields are incomplete - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• A bank account created or modified via the Manage Bank Accounts app remains Inactive with Revision Status "In Workflow".
• The automatic approval workflow does not execute even though it is correctly configured for the relevant company code.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. In SSCUI Define Basic Settings, the bank account control mode is set to Workflow, and maintain the workflow as "Automatically Approve Request of Changing Bank Accounts". 
2. Create a bank account in the Manage Bank Accounts app.
3. Leave the Bank Account Number field empty.
4. Submit the request.
5. Observe the bank account stays inactive with Request Status in approval and Revision Status in workflow.

The bank account change/creation request was submitted without all the mandatory fields completed (e.g. Bank Account Number). The automatic approval workflow was started but could not progress, leaving the request stuck in workflow.

1. Open the Manage Bank Accounts app and go to My Sent Requests using the same user who submitted the request.
2. Locate the pending request for the affected bank account and cancel the request.
3. Do not delete the bank account. Open the existing inactive bank account in edit mode.
4. Enter the Bank Account Number (mandatory) and complete any other missing mandatory information.
5. Re-submit the request and verify that the approval completes and the account becomes active.
