3809523 - Error when saving a custom kudo: "Sorry, an error occurred while trying to save the Kudo" in WorkZone

When creating a new Custom Kudo under Administration Console > Feature Enablement > Kudos, the following error is displayed after clicking Save:

“Sorry, an error occurred while trying to save the Kudo. Please try again later.”

SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone

1. Go to Administration Console.
2. Click Feature Enablement.
3. Click Kudos.
4. Click “Add a new Custom Kudo” under the Custom Kudo section.
5. Enter a title and upload a picture.
6. Click Save and observe the error.

The issue is caused by a missing size field in the custom_kudo[icon] data during the creation of a Custom Kudo.

A code correction has been implemented to properly handle the missing size field in custom_kudo[icon].

The correction is planned to be delivered with the R2611A release, scheduled for 12 November 2026.

No customer-side configuration change is required. If the issue occurs before the fix is deployed, wait until the relevant release is available and retry creating the Custom Kudo afterward.
