3809837 - Exception reminder emails are still being received even after the feature has been disabled.

Symptom

Issue 1 — Emails still arriving after configuration was turned off (4-Sep)

Root cause: The reminder/escalation stop only applies to new exceptions created after the config was disabled. Exceptions generated before 4-Sep will continue to trigger reminders and escalations until they are resolved.

Example: Invoice 2026-0000000123 had an exception task created on 28-Aug — while the config was still active — so emails will keep coming for it until the exception is closed.

Issue 2 — Emails arriving too frequently (within 5 minutes of each other)

Root cause: Both warningPeriod and escalationPeriod are set to 1 day, causing the reminder and escalation emails for the same exception task (invoice 2026-00000000456) to fire on the same day, minutes apart.

Fix: If reminders and escalations should arrive on different days, update the durations in Manage Processing Services:

  • Increase warningPeriod and escalationPeriod to different values (e.g., 1 and 2)
