3809897 - Job Information Boolean Field UI/Portlet Behaviour - Employee Central

Symptom

Job Information has some fields which are classified as 'BOOLEAN' fields, such as the below:

  • 'Is Shift Employee' (is-shift-employee)
  • 'Is Fulltime Employee' (is-fulltime-employee)
  • 'Is Eligible For Benefit' (is-eligible-for-benefit)
  • 'Is Eligible For Car' (is-eligible-for-car)
  • 'Is Cross Border Worker' (is-cross-border-worker)
  • 'Is Eligible For Financial Plan' (is-eligible-for-financial-plan)

These fields can have 3 values: 'No Selection' (aka 'null' or empty), 'No' (aka 'false' or 'f') and 'Yes' (aka 'true' or 't').

In Reporting (e.g. Table reports, Canvas reports), these fields represent their values ('No Selection' shows as empty, 'No' shows as 'f', 'Yes' shows as 't') but on the Job Information portlet on the employee profile, even if the field is set as 'No Selection', it shows as 'No'.
