The buyer is on an Ariba Network account integrated with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA using SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway. After a Goods Issue Return is posted, subsequent ASN creation fails because an incorrect reference document item (REF_DOC_IT) is sent to Ariba. The issue occurs when the system is unable to determine the reference item from LIKP/LIPS data and the fallback logic incorrectly assigns the PO item number, resulting in an invalid line item mapping.
