3810014 - The Hiring Manager is unable to assign a Buddy - Onboarding

When proxying as the affected hiring manager or user and attempting to assign a buddy to a new hire, an error occurs. As a result, the affected user is unable to assign a buddy to the new hire as expected.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 

1. Proxy as the affected hiring manager or user.
2. Attempt to assign a buddy to the new hire.
3. An error occurs.

The issue is caused by insufficient Role-Based Permissions (RBP) required for the affected user to access and manage the relevant Onboarding objects and processes.

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles
2. Grant the following permissions to the Role-Based Permission (RBP) role assigned to the affected user:
   • Onboarding or Offboarding Object Permissions >
     • Buddy Task: View, Edit, Import, View Pending Approvals, and Review Pending Approvals
     • Process: View and Edit
   • Onboarding or Offboarding Permissions > 
     • Show Compliance Forms Status on the Dashboard
     • Show Onboarding Tasks Status on the Dashboard
     • Show Data Collection Status on the Dashboard
     • Show Form I-9 and E-Verify Status on the Dashboard
     • Initiate or Cancel I-9 from Dashboard Flow
