3810053 - Unable to save a story containing tables that have error in SAP Analytics Cloud

• Unable to save story update.
• Saving hangs indefinitely after modifying a story containing tables that have error in SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Story information show the tables have the error: "Calculation cannot find member <Member Name>”

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.15.6

1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, open a story that contains at least one table.
2. Make a small modification to the story.
3. Observe that the save action hangs.

The story contains table with the error: "Calculation cannot find member <Member Name>”, causing saving the story to hang.

• For the table showing the error, remove, or update the calculation, or filters based on a dimension member showing in the error message:

1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, open the story.
     
2. Go to the Edit mode.
     
3. In the story toolbar, under "View", click on: "Info Panel"
     
4. In the Info Panel, under the tab "Issues", expand the table widget, and take note of the member name in the error.
   It will show an error like: 
   
        "Calculation cannot find member <Member Name>"
   
   
5. Open the Builder pane for the table having the error, then remove, or update the calculation, or filters based on a dimension member showing in the error message.
     
6. Repeat the above steps for each error showing in the tables.
   
   
7. Once the Info Panel no longer show any error for the table widgets, you can now save the story successfully.
