3810062 - SM-Mapped background element values not transferred to Employee Profile during Manage Pending Hires - Recruiting Management

During Manage Pending Hires, background element values (for example, Education) are not transferred to the Employee Profile. The background element is configured with SM-mapping in the Candidate Profile Template (CPT). 

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. In the Candidate Profile Template, configure the sm-mapping for the Education background element
2. From Manage Pending Hire, hire a candidate
3. Observed that the Education background element values are not transferred to the Employee Profile

An attachment field is set as required in the Employee Profile background element; attachments are not supported in RCM background elements, so SM-mapping is skipped.

1. In BCUI or in the Succession Data Model, open the Employee Profile background element (for example, Education). 
2. Set the attachment field to non-required. 
3. Save and apply the configuration changes.
4. Hire the candidate again from Manage Pending Hires and confirm the Education values transfer to the Employee Profile.
