Symptom
You receive error FAGL_LEDGER_CUST093 when attempting to configure same number range for non-leading ledger in SSCUI 102013 - Define Document Types in a Ledger.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Cause
Using the same number range for both leading ledger postings and ledger group–specific postings would break gap-free numbering for the leading ledger, which is not allowed. Therefore, the system prevents this and returns FAGL_LEDGER_CUST093.
Example:
- You perform 20 postings with the leading ledger. The documents are given the number 1-20.
- You make a posting without leading ledger. The document receives the number 21.
- You make a posting with the leading ledger. The document receives the number 22.
Resolution
It is necessary to use a different number range ledger specific postings.
To ensure that the document numbers in the leading ledger do not have any gaps, define a document type with its own number range for postings of valuations to the leading ledger. You can use this document type for valuation postings to the non-leading ledgers as well. To enable this, you must assign a distinct number range to this document type for postings from valuations to non-leading ledgers. Make these settings in your configuration environment in the Define Document Types in a Ledger configration activity. For more information, read the configuration help in the system for the Define Document Types in a Ledger configuration step.
