Symptom
- In the Post General Journal Entries app, entering a company code that the user is not authorized for shows a warning instead of an immediate error.
- Warning message observed: "You have no authorization for posting in company code &1."
- When proceeding to post, the system blocks posting with an error: "You have no authorization for posting in Company Code &1."
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the Post General Journal Entries app.
- Create a new journal entry.
- In the header, enter a company code for which the user does not have authorization.
- Press Enter or run Check.
- Observe the warning: "You have no authorization for preliminary posting in company code ..."
- Complete mandatory fields and choose Post.
- Observe the blocking error: "You have no authorization for posting in Company Code ..."
Resolution
It's standard system design: a warning is issued during field/check validation; a hard error is issued when attempting to post with an unauthorized company code.
