3810424 - Planning date (RHYTD) in PPH_DBVM not updated when changing Planning cycle to earlier date in MM42/MM02 (details of SAP Notes 3317755, 3746214)

When maintaining an article's Planning cycle in MM42 (Logistics: Store tab) or material's Planning cycle in MM02 (MRP 1 tab), the Planning date (RHYTD) field in table PPH_DBVM is not updated in all cases:

• Not updated: When the new Planning cycle results in a Planning date earlier than the value currently stored in PPH_DBVM-RHYTD — even if that new date is still ≥ today.
• Updated correctly: When the new Planning cycle results in a Planning date later than the currently stored value.

In other words: the Planning date only moves forward, never backward — regardless of what the new Planning cycle dictates.
