3810775 - Import DU fails with Error 40157: system privilege not allowed in SAP HANA role definition

Symptom

  • Importing a Delivery Unit (DU) in SAP HANA fails during activation with error code 40157
  • The same DU imports successfully in other SAP HANA systems running an older revision (SPS 07 or earlier)
  • The activation trace reports one or more of the following errors:

ERROR, error code: 40157, error message: system privilege "BACKUP ADMIN" is not allowed in role definition
ERROR, error code: 40157, error message: system privilege "BACKUP OPERATOR" is not allowed in role definition
ERROR, error code: 40157, error message: system privilege "INIFILE ADMIN" is not allowed in role definition
ERROR, error code: 40157, error message: system privilege "AUDIT ADMIN" is not allowed in role definition
