3811801 - Can custom trip field values be shared between travel and expense?

The expense list was updated with a new value for a field visible during both the expense report and booking process. However, when the user tries to book a car rental, they receive an error saying the custom trip field value is not valid, even though it exists in the list of expenses. Shouldn't the field values be synchronized between the expense and travel?
