3812163 - What is the purpose of "Receipt Handling" function?

Symptom

Receipt Handling configurations and options serve several key purposes within SAP Concur:

  1. Enforcing Receipt Requirements: They allow you to configure which expense line entries require a receipt based on specific conditions and expense types using Receipt Handling Rules.

  2. Audit Rule Integration: When a receipt is required, an Audit Rule can be set up to prevent users from submitting an expense report until they attach either the original receipt or a Missing Receipt Affidavit (MRA).

  3. Missing Receipt Affidavit (MRA/MRD): Users can attach an MRA or Missing Receipt Declaration in place of an actual receipt if it has been lost. (Note: The entry must first be marked as "receipt required" for the MRA/MRD option to be available).

  4. Hold for Receipt Image Workflow: The "Hold for Receipt Image" workflow step can be utilized when a receipt is mandatory.

  5. Payment Hold Configuration: Payment Holds can be applied to allow users to submit their expense reports even if a required receipt is still pending.
