3814840 - Error: This Item Code is already used by another item in the 'X' list

Symptom

I am trying to add a List Item to a List that shares the same List Category as another List when I click Save the error message "This Item Code is already used by another item in the 'X' list" appears. X = name of another List.

Environment

Invoice List Management / Expense > Core Expense

Product

Concur Expense all versions ; Concur Invoice all versions
