3814890 - Why Finishing remark with Trip Custom Field element appears without hyphen in PNR?

Symptom

Normal (non‑raw) values in TripCustomFields are processed using a TermFix pre‑filter.

This filter allows only the following characters:

  • Uppercase letters (A–Z)

  • Digits (0–9)

  • Hyphen (-)

  • Forward slash (/)

  • Period (.)

  • Apostrophe (')

  • Space

If a value contains unsupported characters, those characters are automatically removed before the value is written to the PNR. Sometimes it might be a non-breaking hyphen instead of a standard ASCII hyphen.
Although visually similar, the non‑breaking hyphen is a different Unicode character and is not included in the allowed set. As a result, the TermFix filter removed it.

This behavior explains why:

  • Bookers see a hyphen in the booking flow
  • The PNR contains no hyphen
  • The TMC only sees what is stored in the PNR
