3815785 - Error: "Field 'payment data.additional data.project number' must have a maximum of 40 characters" when booking Deutsche Bahn rail

Symptom

I am attempting to book Deutsche Bahn rail travel through SAP Concur.

When I complete the booking process, the reservation fails and the following error message is displayed:

Field 'payment data.additional data.project number' must have a maximum of 40 characters.

The error prevents the rail booking from being completed.
