3818659 - Why am I unable to edit the Employee ID field in User Administration?

I tried to change the Employee ID for the existing user, but I couldn't because the field cannot be edited.

Expense > User Administration

Concur Expense all versions ; Concur Invoice all versions ; Concur Request all versions ; Concur Travel all versions
