3818818 - How to activate foreign tax for my expenses

Symptom

The system uses the Location (Country and City) to determine whether an expense is Domestic or Foreign, as well as to identify the relevant tax authority and applicable tax rates. This process involves comparing the location of the expense (City of Purchase) with the employee's home country (Country of Residence set in their profile).

If the employee's country of residence is Brazil, and the "Only Calculate Domestic" checkbox is enabled for Brazil under Employee-Related Configurations, the system will only calculate tax for transactions occurring within Brazil. As a result, if the user records the City of Purchase/Country as United States, no tax will be applied to this expense.
