3822052 - Error: "The credit card you selected to guarantee this hotel reservation expires before the check in-date of your hotel stay"

Can a hotel be booked for next month with a credit card that expires this month? I'm trying to book a hotel stay that begins in a few months, but I'm not able to proceed with my booking.  My credit card is currently active, but will expire before my hotel stay.
