3823798 - Error in logs: "CHECK CARRIER CODE"

Symptom

When booking flights, upon selecting 'Book and Continue' on the 'Review and Book' page, an error with "Error Code: ar-40000" gets displayed:

In Service Logs the following error is returned in Enhanced Air Book RQ Response:

<Message code="ERR.SWS.HOST.ERROR_IN_RESPONSE">CHECK CARRIER CODE</Message>
<Message code="0107">CHECK CARRIER CODE</Message>
<Message code="0118">SYSTEM UNABLE TO PROCESS</Message>
