3824075 - How do I enable User Custom Field as Required but without allowing end users to edit the field on their own?

We would like to make the User Custom Field set as "Required" without allowing end users to edit the field on their own. How can this be done? When enabling user custom field as Required the two others boxes ( Display this field on the My profile page and Allow users to edit the field on their profile) are automatically enabled and cannot be cleared.
