3824667 - Travel Custom Profile Fields - Why does "Allow users to edit this field on their profile" and "Display this field on the My Profile page" auto enable when "Required is checked?

In Concur Travel, when configuring a User Field under Manage Custom Fields, administrators have the option to mark fields as required for completion by users under Conditional Settings.



One common point of confusion is the behavior of the system when this "Required field" setting is enabled.

Specifically, when the Required option is selected for a custom field, Concur automatically enables the settings that allows users to see and also edit the field in their profile. This functionality is built into the system and cannot be decoupled.

Administrators may find this concerning if they prefer users not to have visibility and/or be allowed to manually update certain profile fields.
