3827795 - [SAP ICS] Why is Middle Name deleted after running ICS employee replication?

Symptom

We use employee replication via ICS  from SAP HCM to Concur. The Concur Field - MiddleName - is not part of the SAP Specify field-mapping, as we do not want to maintain the middle name in our SAP system.
We filled in the middle name in Concur user profile manually for the flight tickets before. Why is the field MiddleName always deleted, and only one character is left over?

The situation is created with below conditions:

  • Client is using employee replication via ICS
  • MiddleName - is not part of the SAP Specify field-mapping = no data is sent in this field to Concur
