3828118 - Why is Employee Import 305 not updating the "Prompt for an approver when a request is submitted" setting in user profiles?

Symptom

Employee Import does not update the "Prompt for an approver when a request is submitted" setting in user profiles. Import finishes with "Success" but the status of the field (Y or N, checked or unchecked) remains unchanged. Employee we are updating the setting for is a Request user.
