3829384 - How does Preferred and Paid seats functionality work in Concur Travel?

How the seating charts work as far as frequent fliers, status and fees?

Please clarify some of our questions

1.  Travelers will not automatically be assigned/granted preferred seats because of status through Concur Travel
2.  If charges are added for a seat, when would those come through? (i.e. at time of booking or at time of ticketing?) These are not coming from Concur Travel but from the airline, correct? 
3.  If they choose a preferred seat, and their status allows them the seat without fee, how would the traveler know? 
   1.  In my tests I never see exact prices for seats, am I missing something?
