3829874 - What should the administrator do with the release of the Import IC Card Expense (ICCE) / revamp of the NWIC card reader function?

Symptom

I received an email about the network IC card reader revamp but what should the admin do?

Japan Public Transportation (JPT) is a feature used to expense the use of public transportation in Japan, primarily railways. It consists primarily of route search based on departure station and arrival station, and import from the national common transportation IC card (network IC card reader feature).

This network IC card reader feature required the use of a dedicated device (such as PitTouch Pro) or a separate mobile app (Concur Tap to Expense), but it will be integrated into the Concur Mobile app. This centralizes the user experience and enables us to deliver a modern, security-compliant service more seamlessly. It also eliminates the need for customers to perform firmware updates on dedicated terminals, manage the devices, or bear any device-related costs.

The Import IC Card Expense (ICCE) feature will be released at the end of June 2025 and will be available as of version 10.23 of the Concur mobile app (release notes)
The current network IC Card reader functionality (IC card usage history integration from devices such as PitTouch Pro and the Concur Tap to Expense app) will be deprecated to align with the release of this feature and will be closed on December 31, 2025 and stopped sequentially after January 5, 2026.
