3829897 - Form Admin and Data Connector Service Dependency

Symptom

Error 1:Error message: "Cannot reset Data Connector. Reset the dependent services Form Admin and try again."

Error 2:Error message: "Cannot start initial load for Form Admin as the following dependencies are not completed: Data Connector." 

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud Version 2
  • SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

Scenario 1:

  1. System settings->Change Project->Registered Services
  2. Attempt to disable the Data Connector service.
  3. Observe the error: "Cannot reset Data Connector. Reset the dependent services Form Admin and try again."
  4. The Data Connector service cannot be deactivated until the Form Admin service is deactivated.
     

Scenario 2:

  1. System settings->Change Project->Registered Services
  2. Attempt to enable Form Admin service.
  3. Observe the error: "Cannot start initial load for Form Admin as the following dependencies are not completed: Data Connector"
  4. The Data Connector service must be activated and its initialization completed before the Form Admin service can be activated.

Cause

Form Admin service depend on Data Connector service.

Resolution

  1. Enable:Data Connector -> Form Admin
  2. Disable:Form Admin ->Data Connector
