Symptom

Existing metric list not shown when adding a metric in SAC

Environment

SAP Analytic Cloud 2026.15.6

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC
  2. Open a story 
  3. For a chart, click More Actions → Add to Metric List.
  4. In the Select Member panel, select a measure and click Apply.
  5. The Add to Metric list panel will open
  6. Click on dropdown for Add metric to

Notice : The existing metric list is not available

Cause

When the configured limit of metrics per list is reached, existing lists are no longer available for selection when adding additional metrics.

Resolution

Increase the Limit of Metrics per List setting in the system configuration.

  1. Navigate to System --> Adminstration --> System Configuration --> My Metrics
  2. Click Edit
  3. Change the value of "Limit of Metrics per list" as per requiremnt
    Note: The supported range is 10 to 100 metrics per list.
  4. Click on Save

After increasing the limit, the metric list becomes available again for adding additional metrics.
