3830363 - Error "In the context of Data Services an unknown internal server error occurred" in Manage Outbound Deliveries in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

User receives "In the context of Data Services an unknown internal server error occurred" when opening a GI Status Completed Outbound Delivery in the Manage Outbound Deliveries app.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Open the Manage Outbound Deliveries app.
• Search for any Outbound Delivery with GI Status Completed.
• Try to open the Outbound Delivery.
• The error appears and the Outbound Delivery does not open.

• A custom BAdI implementation for LE_SHP_MODIFY_HEAD is assigning a DATE type field (e.g., ACTUALGOODSMOVEMENTDATE) directly to a DateTime/Timestamp field (INTCOEXTACTLTRANSFOFCTRLDTETME or INTCOINTACTLTRANSFOFCTRLDTETME).
• The invalid value written causes an OData serialization failure in service LE_SHP_OUTBOUND_DELIVERY_FS. 

1. Open the Custom Logic app and locate the active BAdI implementation for extension point LE_SHP_MODIFY_HEAD.
2. Remove or correct the incorrect assignment of a DATE type field to INTCOEXTACTLTRANSFOFCTRLDTETME or INTCOINTACTLTRANSFOFCTRLDTETME. If the assignment is required by your business process, replace it with a proper type conversion from DATE to DateTime/Timestamp before assigning the value.
3. Republish the implementation.
4. Identify all Outbound Deliveries affected by the invalid value. These are all Outbound Deliveries with GI Status Completed that were processed on or after the date the incorrect BAdI implementation was last activated. Use the Manage Outbound Deliveries app and filter by GI Status Completed and Actual Goods Movement Date to scope the affected records.
5. Correct the invalid Transfer of Control DateTime values on the affected Outbound Deliveries using the "Filling in the Transfer of Control Dates" functionality. See: Transfer of Control of Goods - SAP Help Portal
6. Validate the fix by opening a previously affected Outbound Delivery in the Manage Outbound Deliveries app and confirming the error no longer appears.
