3830515 - Provide Personal Data step does not load after MDF object and UI removal from Hire Template - Onboarding

• Provide Personal Data step remains in a loading state and does not display.
• Issue observed after removing onboarding forms from business rules and deleting the related MDF object while the UI could not be deleted.
• Error message: "java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke '...ConfigUIMeta.getBaseObjectType()' because the return value of 'HirePortletDataConfig.getMdfPortletType()' is null".

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Access the Personal Data Collection as Admin from Dashboard
2. OR as candidate
3. Personal Data Collection is blank only when accessed

A custom MDF object/portlet referenced by the Personal Data step was deleted from the New Hire Template (Configuration UI), leaving the template with a null MDF portlet type.

1. Restore any removed custom MDF object definitions and their associated Configuration UI used by the Personal Data step.
2. Go to Manage Data > Hire Template > select the relevant New Hire Template > Personal Data section, and add the corresponding Configuration UI (MDF portlet) back to the template.
3. Update Process Flows for Onboarding and Offboarding.
4. Perform an OData metadata/cache refresh.
5. In Provisioning, run the job "MDF Object to DB Sync".
6. Restart the affected onboarding processes for impacted candidates and retest the Provide Personal Data step.
