3830532 - Job Relationship Information Removed After Manage Pending Hire During Rehire with Old Employment – Onboarding

• Job Relationship Information is removed or becomes blank in Employee Central after completing Manage Pending Hire (MPH).
• The issue is primarily observed for employees processed through Rehire with Old Employment (ROOE).
• The Job Relationship record exists during the onboarding process but is removed after the Manage Pending Hire process is completed.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate onboarding for a rehired employee using Rehire with Old Employment.
2. Complete Pre-Onboarding Rehire Verification.
3. Complete the Onboarding process.
4. Complete Manage Pending Hire.
5. Verify the employee's Job Relationship Information in Employee Central.
6. Observe that the Job Relationship record is removed or becomes blank.

During the ROOE processing, the newly created Job Relationship record can be incorrectly identified as a duplicate of existing employment data during the data save process.

As a result, the Job Relationship record may be removed based on the effective Start Date.

This behavior is related to the Job Relationship validation performed during the data save process.

Please follow the below steps: 

1. If Job Relationship Information is removed after completing Manage Pending Hire in an ROOE scenario, contact SAP Support with the affected candidate/process details.
2. SAP Support will review the relevant backend logs to confirm whether the behavior matches the identified Job Relationship validation issue.
3. If the scenario is confirmed, Support will proceed with the required backend correction by raising the applicable script request.
4. The correction enables the JobRelationshipStartdateCheckKey SysConfig setting, which introduces an additional Start Date validation during the save process.
5. Once the correction is applied, new ROOE candidates should no longer be impacted by the identified Job Relationship deletion behavior.
