3830573 - Slow SAP HANA System Replication when a virtual firewall is part of the replication network path

Symptom

SAP HANA System Replication is configured in ASYNC mode with logreplay.

One or more of the following symptoms are observed:

  • System Replication remains in an initialization or synchronization state for an unexpectedly long time.
  • The asynchronous replication buffer becomes full.
  • Replication connections are interrupted and subsequently re-established.
  • SAP HANA System Replication throughput is low.
