Symptom
The Account Holder (Kontoinhaber/BT‑85) name is not filled by default in the eDocuments XML from Germany.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the eDocument Cockpit App.
- In the Source Document, enter ABC (where ABC represents the Source Key Document).
- Mark the eDocument ABC.
- Select Display -> Display/Preview XML.
- Open the file downloaded.
The account holder (Kontoinhaber/BT‑85) field is not displayed in the eDocument XML.
Cause
In EN 16931/XRechnung/Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, BT‑85 is optional. SAP’s standard DE template does not derive it from either the company code name or the Account Holder maintained in the Manage Bank Accounts app.
As a result, the bank account (IBAN) is shown correctly, but the account holder remains blank.
Many receivers of XRechnung/Peppol ignore BT‑85. The IBAN information is typically sufficient for the validation of the eDocuments.
Resolution
In order to display the Account Holder (Kontoinhaber) in the XML of the eDocument, it's recommended to contact your development partner in order check the feasibility to implement a custom logic through a Badi to create the XML path <PayeeFinancialAccount>/<Name> and fill it with the Account Holder (Kontoinhaber) information.
