3830730 - Cloud Connector Not Available When SAP Logon Type Is Message Server in Datasphere

Symptom

When creating an SAP S/4HANA On-Premise connection in SAP Datasphere, if **SAP Logon Connection Type** is set to **Message Server**, the **Cloud Connector** option is not available (disappear) under **Data Provisioning Option**.

Resolution

  • This is the expected system behavior in SAP Datasphere.
  • When the SAP Logon Connection Type is set to Message Server in an SAP S/4HANA On-Premise connection, Cloud Connector is not supported as a Data Provisioning Option. This combination is not a valid configuration.
  • To use Cloud Connector as the Data Provisioning Option, please set the SAP Logon Connection Type to Application Server instead.
