3830785 - Custom field publishing fails due to locked transport and missing modifiable task, SAP S/4HANA

You are trying to transport a custom field, but the transport release fails with the following errors in the log:

• "ABAP Managed Field has errors (see T_cd SCFD_FIELDVIEWER)"
• "Custom Field is outdated and needs to be published again"

To resolve this, you attempt to re-activate and republish the custom field in the Custom Fields and Logic app. However, the app displays the following errors and the action cannot be completed: 

• "Changes for field could not be saved."
• "Item of type CFDF is locked in a transport. Add a task for user."

The same errors are also visible in SCFD_LOG.

Reassigning the package and regenerating the field does not resolve the issue, and the transport release remains blocked.
