3830813 - Application login page intermittently displays blank screen after upgrade when access token expires — SAP Commerce Cloud, composable storefront

Symptom

  • Following a recent upgrade, the application login page intermittently displays a blank screen for some users.
  • The issue occurs randomly and prevents users from accessing the application.
  • Refreshing the browser does not resolve the problem; clearing browser cache/cookies temporarily restores access.
  • The issue reoccurs multiple times per day and was not observed prior to the upgrade.
  • The issue appears to be related to cookies rather than static cache.
  • Browser console shows multiple 401 Unauthorized requests.
  • Server-side traces show InvalidBearerTokenException with message: “An error occurred while attempting to decode the Jwt: Expired JWT”.
  • Unauthorized response format observed as:
  • { "error_code": "invalid_token", "error_description": "An error occurred while attempting to decode the Jwt: Expired JWT" }
  • After correcting the entry point configuration, the response format becomes:
  • { "errors": [ { "message": "An error occurred while attempting to decode the Jwt: Expired JWT", "type": "InvalidBearerTokenError" } ] }
