3830923 - Error Message : 'Customer #Number : Mandatory partner role SP is missing for sales area'

When creating customer sales data using the Create with Reference option, the following error occurs 'Customer #Number : Mandatory partner role SP is missing for sales area' 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Maintain Business Partner app.
2. Open an existing Business Partner which has customer role.
3. Attempt to update the customer sales data using Create with Reference option (sales organization, distribution channel, division).
4. Save the changes.
5. The system raises error CMD_API100 stating the mandatory partner role SP is missing for the sales area.

After assigning the Sales Area, check the Partner Functions tab and verify whether the mandatory partner functions SP (Sold-to Party) are maintained.

Steps :

1. Open the Maintain Business Partner app.
2. Navigate to the customer role and select the relevant Sales Area.
3. Attempt to update the customer sales data using Create with Reference option (sales organization, distribution channel, division).
4. Go to the Partner Functions tab.
5. Verify whether the mandatory partner functions are maintained for the selected Sales Area.
6. Save the changes.
