3830985 - Cannot restrict Manage Data access when allowing edit of Position Criticality from Succession Org Chart

• When a manager opens a direct report’s Position via Succession Org Chart and selects Show and Edit Position, a Manage option appears that redirects to Manage Data where Position history is visible.
• Requirement: allow managers to edit only Position Criticality / Key Position without access to Manage Data or Position History.
• Removing Position - View History hides the Manage option, but then the Position cannot be edited.
• Granting Position - Correct allows editing the Position but also makes the Manage option available again, exposing history.
• Field-level override for Position Criticality / Key Position offers only Read Only or No Access; no independent Edit option.
• No error messages are displayed.

1. Log in with a user assigned the manager role.
2. Navigate to Home.
3. Open the Succession menu.
4. Navigate to Succession Org Chart.
5. Locate a Position with direct reports and select a direct-report Position.
6. Select Show and Edit Position.
7. Observe available actions, including Edit and Manage.
8. Select Manage and confirm redirection to Manage Data with access to Position information/history.

• The requested combination cannot be achieved with standard Position MDF RBP permissions. Granting Position - Correct (needed to edit) also exposes Manage Positions/Manage Data, while field-level overrides allow only restriction or read-only and do not provide an independent field-level Edit for Position Criticality / Key Position.

• This requirement is not supported by the standard Position MDF RBP model: enabling Position - Correct to edit also enables Manage (with history), and field-level overrides do not provide an Edit-only option for Position Criticality / Key Position.
