Symptom
When attempting to print maintenance orders in bulk as per the Scheduled Date, the result is printed/sorted by Order Number instead of Scheduled Date.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the app Find Maintenance Orders.
- Select the required orders and choose Print.
- Observe that the printed/grouped sequence follows Order Number instead of Scheduled Date.
Cause
- During bulk printing from Find Maintenance Orders (and Find Maintenance Orders and Operations), the system creates a work pack using the predefined work pack type and its assigned grouping criteria (configured in the activity Assign Grouping Criteria to Work Pack Type).
- The grouping and print sequence are driven by the Group By setting during work pack creation, which typically defaults to Order Number.
Resolution
Most used grouping criteria are pre-delivered.
There is no date-based grouping criterion available for the work pack type meaning this feature is currently not supported.
