Symptom
- After adding fields with HANA data types (including hana.BINARY, hana.REAL, hana.SMALLINT, hana.TINYINT) to a table within a created data product, the data product status changed from "listed" to "delisted".
- Following the status change, adding tables to the data product is no longer possible.
Environment
SAP Datasphere
Reproducing the Issue
1. Create a data product.
2. Add fields with data types (e.g., hana.BINARY, hana.REAL, hana.SMALLINT, hana.TINYINT) to a table within the data product.
3. Observe the data product status change from "listed" to "delisted".
4. Attempt to add tables to the data product and notice it is not possible.
Cause
The behavior occurs because the fields were added to the table while the table was already included in the data product.
hana.BINARY and hana.REAL data types are not supported in custom data products.
Resolution
To unblock the data product, you have to remove the fields from the table again.
This is a bug, our development team already working on it. While it is correct that the (re-)listing of the data product is blocked, it should not block to add tables which are considered consistent to the data product or removing any tables from the data product.
