• Error: "No authorization to start the UI for transaction S_ER1_70000701"
• Issue occurs when launching the configuration item "Material Field Length Extension" from Central Business Configuration (CBC)
• Required business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_CMD_PRD_PC is already assigned to the business role (for example, BR_BPC_EXPERT), yet access to the configuration item fails.

• Central Business Configuration (CBC)

1. Sign in to CBC.
2. Navigate to Configuration.
3. Search for “Material Field Length Extension”.
4. Select the item; a new tab opens and the authorization error "No authorization to start the UI for transaction S_ER1_70000701" appears.

IAM app S_ER1_70000701_TRAN is deactivated in the business role, which CBC mapping calls when starting the UI.

1. Open app "Maintain Business Roles".
2. Locate and edit the relevant business role (for example, BR_BPC_EXPERT) used to access the activity.
3. Ensure the role is assigned to the user.
4. In the same role, open the tab IAM Apps and search for S_ER1_70000701_TRAN.
5. Ensure S_ER1_70000701_TRAN is active (not deactivated). If deactivated, activate it.
6. Have the user sign out and sign back in.
7. Launch “Material Field Length Extension” again from CBC and verify the UI opens without the authorization error.
