3831225 - IDoc inbound dates not auto-converted to YYYYMMDD in SAP S/4HANA via middleware - SAP Integration Suite

Symptom

  • Dates posted via SAP PI/PO into ECC were auto-corrected to YYYYMMDD during IDoc creation.
  • The same behavior does not occur in SAP S/4HANA when data is sent through SAP BTP Integration Suite; inbound IDocs fail when date fields are not in YYYYMMDD.
  • Subject references “Date truncation issue.”
