Symptom
- When creating a space directly from a role using "Create a new space," fewer apps are added to the space than expected based on the catalogs.
- App Finder shows more applications than the Launchpad.
Environment
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- From a role, choose "Create a new space".
- Observe that the generated space includes fewer apps than expected based on the catalogs.
- Open App Finder and compare; more applications are listed there than on the Launchpad.
Cause
- Expected behavior: App Finder lists all applications authorized via assigned business catalogs.
- Creating a space from a role auto-adds only apps that are placed on standard Space/Page Templates for that role.
- Some catalog apps are included for navigation or deep-link purposes and are not placed on the standard pages.
Resolution
- Open the Manage Launchpad Spaces app.
- Open the target space and navigate to the relevant page.
- Use Add to search for and add the missing apps as tiles.
- Be aware there is currently no system option to automatically add all App Finder applications to a space in one step.
