3831692 - Cannot hide competency descriptions in PM form - SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

• Users want to hide competency descriptions in Performance Management form.
• No option exists in the PM form configuration to suppress or hide competency descriptions.

• Product: SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals
• Competencies Behaviors Families and Roles

1. Open a Performance Management form.
2. Navigate to the competencies section and observe that the competency description is displayed with no form-level option to hide it.

The PM form does not provide a configuration to suppress competency descriptions; visibility is determined by the source competency definition. Descriptions are optional in Talent Intelligence Hub/Center of Capabilities.

1. Note: Hiding competency descriptions directly within the PM form is not supported.
2. In Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH) or Center of Capabilities, go to Competencies and open the relevant competency.
3. Remove the description from the competency definition (descriptions are not mandatory).
4. Save and publish the changes.
5. Open or refresh the PM form; the competency description will no longer display.
