3831742 - Work Permit detail only shows in active employment when doing a rehire with new employment and not in all employments

When you do a rehire with new employment, you will see that the work permit only shows in the new active employment and no longer in the inactive old employment for the employee.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Make sure you have an employee that has a work permit
2. Terminate the Employee
3. Now do a rehire with New employment and save this.
4. Note how the old inactive employment no longer shows the work permit and only the new employment will show.

In last release going forward work permits have been made employment based (tied to Userid) and are no longer Employee person based (tied to Person-ID-External)

You can change the behavior that work permit will show in both inactive and active employments by enabling the settings "Enable Person-Based Work Permits in Latest People Profile for Concurrent Employments"  in Company System and logo settings Tool. (Please note that this settings name says it if for concurrent employment, but it also applies to rehires with new employment).
