Symptom
- After saving with a required field left empty in the Form Details page (How Rating table), validation error messages appear.
- Keyboard focus does not move to the corresponding field associated with the error.
- Activating the error message link using Enter or Spacebar does not work (the link is not keyboard-activatable).
- Screen reader announcement: "Select a value for How Rating. Click the link to jump to the issue. Error."
Environment
Product: SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the application and navigate to the section listing performance forms.
- Open any form and go to the Form Details page.
- Navigate to the How Rating table using the Tab key.
- Leave a required field empty and select Save.
- Move focus to the displayed validation error message and attempt to activate it using Enter or Spacebar.
- Observe that focus does not move to the corresponding field and the error link is not activated via keyboard.
Cause
Defect in section-level validation error behavior: error rows were only clickable by mouse and did not support keyboard activation (Enter/Space) or move focus to the associated field.
Resolution
- Update to release B2611 (2H2026) or later, which contains a code fix so that section-level validation error rows move focus to the corresponding field and can be activated with Enter and Space.
- After updating, reproduce the scenario to confirm that keyboard activation and focus movement work as expected.
