3832231 - Table filter with "#" (Not Assigned) disappears after saving the story - SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • In a story table applying a local table filter with the member "#" (Not Assigned) causes the filter to disappear after saving and reloading the story.
  • Selecting any other member value keeps the filter persisted and applied.
  • The behavior is reproducible on a new story and limited to table local filters; chart filters on certain time dimensions may still work.
  • No error message is displayed.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create or open a story
  2. Add a table and apply a local table filter on a dimension by selecting the member "#" (Not Assigned).
  3. Save the story.
  4. Reload the story.
  5. Observe that the local table filter with "#" is no longer present; the filter persists if a different member is selected.

Cause

A regression in the filter validation logic treats the "#" (Not Assigned) member, which uses an empty technical key for its caption, as an invalid local table filter and removes it upon save/reload.

Resolution

Product Engineering is currently investigating a solution.
