3832458 - Service channel does not auto-reconnect after restart when cloud endpoint is down | SAP Cloud Connector

Symptom

  • After a host/OS restart of the Cloud Connector during a planned downtime of the ABAP Cloud endpoint, the service channel remains closed and does not reconnect automatically until manually re-enabled.
  • During normal operation (endpoint goes down after an already established channel), the automatic reconnect keeps retrying and successfully restores the connection when the endpoint is back.
