3832627 - Is it possible to retrieve the Name and Telephone fields displayed in the “Order Data” tab at the Sales Order header level using the Sales Order APIs available?

When retrieving header-level fields from sales orders, there is a requirement to access data available in the “Order Data” tab. However, these fields are currently not available for retrieval through either the Sales Order API (A2X, OData V2) or the Sales Order API (A2X, OData V4).

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Use the Sales Order A2X OData API (API_SALES_ORDER_SRV) to read a sales order header entity by the id.
2. Check the response payload and observe that the header fields Name (VBAK-BNAME) and Telephone (VBAK-TELF1), which appear in the app’s Order Data tab, are not included in the API response.
3. Try to use the Sales Order (A2X, OData V4) and see that this API also is unable to retrieve the fields.

• At the moment, it is not possible to retrieve the information from the "Order data" tab using any API available in the SD area.
• It would be necessary to create a feature improvement request via the Customer Influence Portal.

To proceed with the feature request, follow the steps below 

1. Get started by opening SAP Customer Influence.
2. Register and accept the Terms of Use.
3. Choose a session of interest.
4. Create and submit the improvement request.
5. Take a look at existing improvement requests and start voting and commenting.
